New Year's Resolutions

fitbit
this was taken right before I left for work. looks like making breakfast required walking roughly 0.02 miles

Did you guys make any resolutions this year?

This year I'd like to:
- be more grateful (it's the key to happiness apparently)
- cook (at least) once a week out of Mastering the Art of French Cooking
- take more walks (if you have a fitbit account, let's be friends!)
- travel
- complain less (this one is going to be hard)

What about you? My favorite resolution so far is "spend another year talking about starting yoga". Love it.

  2. Being grateful is great (I'm gonna try it), but if I may boldly give you unrequested advice, don't confuse it with reprimanding yourself for being ungrateful. E.g. "I have x,y,z going for me and yet I'm feeling down today; that is a failure on my part -- I'm being an ingrate."

I'd say what my resolutions were but its the 7th of January so they are already out the window. I kid! My resolutions were mostly kind of vague ambitions about attitude, self-discipline, intentionality, and not wasting precious time. So much for me liking organized lists!

I saw one resolution that was to write 2013 instead of 2012.

    1. That's good point, Kevin. I let myself feel shitty all the time though (sans shaming), so it's not a problem for me. Making a list serves a purpose of reminding myself that life is great despite the silly things that I'm always anxious about.

The writing 2013 instead of 2012 resolution is tough! I've only written the date once this year and I fucked it up. Boo.
