Where Did the Day Go?

Have you heard of RescueTime? It a piece of software that runs in the background and collects data about your daily computer usage. (Anybody else a data nerd?) Basically, it helps you figure out your habits, so you can review and see if anything needs adjusting. It'll even give you a productivity score!

I've heard people rave about it, so, I thinking of giving it a try one of these days.

Who wants to start a productivity score competition?

  1. Productivity score competition? Lay some ground rules and you're on.

In the meantime, let me get my cat gif buffer up to snuff

    1. Yes. I sit all day. I'll take a 15 minute walk outside if I'm working on a particularly boring problem, but most of the time I'm too busy trying to solve something. Also, I'm told I tap my feet and drum on my table a lot. But I'm completely unaware until somebody throws something at me.

So, to answer your question, I don't deal with it. Have you heard of standup desks? My brother works in an office where all desks can be converted to a standup desk at a push of a button. I feel like that would easily solve our restlessness problem.

  3. Haha! Olga, I pin a lot of words I can't live up to. But working on my thesis on motivating software engineers (!) I've learned that slack is a very good thing :) BTW. - I recently started using Self Control. That helps me so much to stay away from sites like Pinterest and Facebook. I need to try out RescueTime soon too.

  4. Olga's typical day at work:
    25% madewell sale
    20% cake recipes
    20% cat gifs
15% youtube videos of french people dancing
    15% napping
    5% coding

Didn't need software to tell you that!
