Easiest Way to Make Simple Syrup

OK, I know simple syrup is already... well, simple, but hear me out. I used to make it using this recipe, and store it in this nifty bottle. It made a killer compliment to iced coffee. But apparently, I've been doing it all wrong:

1) you don't have to boil water and sugar (it'll dissolve at room temperature)
2) the part where the syrup is supposed to drain back into the bottle would get clogged

Enter Simple Syrup Kit. I can't say I've ever made a cocktail. But I'm a huge fan of sweetened coffee, not sugar hanging out at the bottom of the cup. This kit makes it stupid easy. I backed it as soon as I heard about it, and have been meaning to tell you about it. You only have 10 hours. Go!
