Tigger & Floss

I've been meaning to share this story for a while, but kept going back and forth about whether it was too gross. If you're easily grossed out, don't read further. If you're like me (you find poo hilarious), read on!

So, my cats, like all the other cats in the world, find strings, or any other string-shaped objects, the most fun thing ever. That includes their own tail, and unfortunately, dental floss. If you've been reading this blog for a while, you know I take dental hygiene seriously, and can't go to bed without flossing. These shittens know that, and they run to the bathroom the second they hear the floss case open. I've caught them rummaging through the bathroom trash can for used floss before. To disinterest them from being disgusting-bathroom-trashcan-cats that they are, I try to throw all string-like objects into the kitchen trash (that's behind a cabinet door).

Well, one night I guess I wasn't so careful. I woke up in the morning, and in my woozy state on the way to the bathroom saw Tigger chasing what I thought was her tail. I didn't think much of it because they do that all the time (much like the cat in the video above). Upon closer inspection, however, I saw that Tig was not actually chasing her tail, she was chasing a piece of dental floss that was sticking out of her butt!

This sent me into a panic. Before I got cats, I read several books, all of which at some point warned against cats playing with strings because they tend to eat them, which results in sure death. Agh! I went on my computer and started looking at people's suggestions. A minute later, Tig ran up to me to meow for breakfast, she didn't look to be in distress, and the string wasn't um... sticking out anymore. So, either she pulled it out, or Moos helped her.

I found the nasty-ass string in the hallway and saved it for my scrapbook. Just kidding!

Aside from being nasty shats (cats), they're pretty cute.
