Day 136: Babysitter

 

Today was the first day I handed Tommy off to a stranger. I prepared a rhubarb cake the night before to bake in the morning to make myself feel better.

She arrived at 10 am. We walked through the house showing her around, culminating in Tommy's room where he was napping. We walked back to the kitchen to chat and wait for him to wake up when the baby sitter asked: "Where is Tommy?" Lol

Tommy woke up in a great mood and the rest of the day went fine. She's very gentle and calm. I was too on edge to get much work done unless Tommy was sleeping, but it was still very helpful to have her around.
