Day 149: “hi, mom”

Was just catching up on substack while Tommy was napping and read this interview.
This quote made me laugh because it’s so true: “One thing that I've talked to a lot of moms about is how motherhood can be an identity eraser. I mean, almost as soon as the baby vacates your body, the nurses and healthcare providers start calling you “mom” versus your actual name.”

That's so true! When I’m talking to the pediatrician they’ll also address me as mom and I’m still like who? Who’s mom around here? Oh ya it’s me. I like it though! Still pinching myself I get to be a mom to Tommy no less!
