An Anniversary of Sorts

“Only time can heal your broken heart. Just as only time can heal his broken arms and legs.”
 ― Jim Henson

I've never broken a bone, but it certainly seems like broken hearts are far slower to mend. Wouldn't you say?

  1. Ah, Olga. I'd prefer you pass through life feeling only joy and then at the end ascend straight to heaven without dying, but if there is any meaning to life, heartache is clearly part of it. Perhaps to learn, change and grow, to become yourself. But you deserve the best, and its a safe bet the best for you is in your future, in the love department. In the meantime, attend to every moment, including the painful ones, as if they happen for a reason. And, if not already, maybe a time will come when you will say "I wouldn't change a thing that happened." <3

    1. Aw, Kevin. Your comment is so heartfelt. Thank you.

You know, the other day I learned this trick for when I feel sad. You imagine all the people that love and cheer for you gathered in one room singing "Happy Birthday" to you. You can't help but feel loved and the opposite of alone. Even though I don't know you at all, you're part of my imaginary "happy birthday" singing group now.

    2. Was that weird? I think that was weird.

    3. My over-the-top comment is the only weird thing here, but you've reassured me that its OK. I couldn't help myself when I saw that post. I mean, I'm definitely in the Olga chorus, and we's got's to sing!
