Matilda the Musical

Did you know that Roald Dahl's Matilda has been made into a musical? This is apparently really old news given it premiered in 2010. But more recently it won a bunch of awards in the UK, and is now coming to Broadway!

I wouldn't normally get too excited about a musical, but dearest friends told me that the music for Matilda is written by Tim Minchin. (I went to one of his shows roughly a year ago.) I totally dig on Minchin's song writing and cute little girls with teased hair overcoming shitty circumstances. What's not to like?

I've been listening to the original cast recording every morning at work. It totally gets me pumped. Wouldn't you love to go see it live?
