Life has been busy around here, friends.
I was on the x-country team in college (briefly). One practice, when we were running a particularly hilly (and sandy -- gah!) trail, the coach told me my eyes are looking too far ahead. She said to keep my gaze low, looking only at the next step. That way, I wouldn't get discouraged about the slope of the hill and how much further I need to run to the top. It worked
until I dropped out half-way through the quarter!
I'm desperately trying to do the same thing now. Keeping my head down, not getting locked up when I think about work yet to do.
